What is Slingshot
Slingshot is an entirely web-based application for sending and receiving files of any type that would normally be too large to send via email. The intended sender visits the site and fills out a short form, selecting the files on their own computer that he or she wishes to send. Their intended recipients then receive an email with a web link (url) containing a special code that takes them to a web page where they can download the files to their own computer. After a set time period, the stored files are deleted permanently from the server.
