Usage Policies

Terms of Use of Slingshot
The following terms apply to all use of Slingshot. You may use Slingshot only in accordance with the following terms and conditions.

1. SLINGSHOT IS FOR THE BUSINESS USE OF TWDC AND ITS AFFILIATES ONLY. Either the sender or recipient of the files sent through Slingshot MUST be an employee of TWDC or its subsidiaries ( such as WDI, WDPR, etc.) Vendors may NOT use Slingshot for any purpose except sending or receiving files to or from TWDC employees. TWDC employees may not use Slingshot for personal business.

2. Senders MUST have a valid TWDC Single Sign On (SSO) account to send files.

3. No user may ever post a Slingshot transaction link on any web page, public or private.

4. Slingshot does not backup any files so senders must keep a copy of the files sent using Slingshot. If there is a problem with the Slingshot transmission, the data will be permanently lost unless it has been appropriately backed up by the sender.

5. When a Slingshot transaction has expired, the data is permanently removed from the server and can't be recovered. Again, senders must back up all data sent using the application.

6. Slingshot is provided as a convenience only. Slingshot is not responsible or liable for any transmission failures or delays, for loss of data, or for any other loss of any kind or nature. The Slingshot administrators expressly disclaim any and all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to any warranties of merchantability, noninfringement, or fitness of a particular purpose. The Slingshot administrators do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information, text, graphics, links or other items contained within Slingshot and make no warranty or representation of any kind regarding any files sent using Slingshot.

7. Slingshot relies on the TWDC Single Sign On (SSO) system to identify the sender.

8. Slingshot will make reasonable efforts to answer questions or resolve problems brought to its attention by users but is not required to provide support to users or to resolve problems arising from use of the application. Again, senders are responsible for ensuring that their data is backed up.

9. The Slingshot administrators reserve the right to revoke a user's privileges at any time for noncompliance with these terms of use.

10. The Slingshot administrators reserve the right to delete any individual transaction without notice at any time if the transaction fails to comply with these terms of use.

11. Every transmission sent via Slingshot sends a receipt email to the sender. Senders should verify that they receive this receipt. If they do not, they should verify that they email address of the recipient has been entered correctly.

12. Users must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Slingshot may not be used to send any infringing, illicit, libelous, defamatory or pornographic materials or any other files which the user does not have the right to send.

13. In no event will the administrators of Slingshot or any other party be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential damages of any kind (including, without limitation, loss of data) arising out of the use of or inability to use Slingshot or arising from the content of any file(s) transferred using Slingshot.
