How secure is Slingshot?
The developers of Slingshot take the security of your data very seriously. Slingshot uses industry-standard SSL encryption with your web browser to protect your data during file uploads and downloads. Per Corporate requirements, GIS has done security penetration testing, DMED Application Security has done code-level audits, and regular perimiter testing is performed.

The delivery and receipt emails created by Slingshot contain a custom web link (url) that gives you and your recipients temporary access to only the files you intend for the time period you specify. However, because these email links are all that is required to access the files, it is very important that you treat the delivery and receipt emails Slingshot generates with care. For extra security consider adding a password to the link and sending that separately or use the SSO-based access options.
