Help Sending Files
How do I use a password?
A password is a way to add a level of security to your file transfer. At the time you are sending your files you
create a password. Do not use your email or any other existing passwords. Make up a password or phrase that makes
sense to both yourself and the receipent(s).
The user at the other end will need to know this password to download the files. You either can have an agreed upon
password or you will need to send this password to the user via another method like and separate email or over the
phone. Do not put the password in the subject or notes field for this would defeat the purpose. The purpose here is
that if someone gets a hold of the delivery email, they still can not download the file(s) without the password.
Like most passwords, the password is case sensitive. Unlike most passwords you can use any printable character
including a space and a password can be of any length from 6 to 255
characters long. Spaces are not allowed at the beginning or end of the password. The tab character is ignored.
The administrators do not have access to your password so if you enter it incorrectly or forget it, there is no way
to download your files. In this case you will have to resend them.
