Help Sending Files

How do I clear the data stored in local storage?

Slingshot uses your browser's local storage to remember recently sent email addresses and other information to make sending files faster and easier. This data is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers.

If you would like to clear this information, follow the steps below for your browser:

Chrome:
  1. Open Chrome Settings: Click the three dots in the top right corner and select Settings.
  2. Go to Privacy and security in the left sidebar.
  3. Click Site Settings.
  4. Click View permissions and data stored across sites (or Cookies and site data).
  5. Use the search bar to find this website.
  6. Click the trash bin icon next to the website to clear its local storage and other data.
Safari:
  1. Open Safari and go to Safari > Preferences (or press Command + ,).
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Click Manage Website Data…
  4. Use the search bar to find this website.
  5. Select the website and click Remove, then confirm.

After clearing, Slingshot will have forgotten your recent email addresses and other stored data.
