Problems Sending
"Slingshot Undeliverable Email Notice.
When you send a file using Slingshot, a notification email message is sent to
each of your recipients with a unique link that allows them to download the files. If, for any reason, that
notification email is returned as undeliverable by the recipient's email system (also known as an email bounce
back), Slingshot will attempt to notify the sender (you) that the files were
not received via a Slingshot Undeliverable Email notice by sending an email
to the From address.
Most of the time, a recipient's email system will return an email as undeliverable if the recipient's address is
mistyped or does not exist. We recommend double-checking your recipient's email address for accuracy and any typos
and sending your files again. It's usually something simple like typing josh@gmial.com instead of
josh@gmail.com. If you continue to receive this error, please contact your recipient to let them know that there
is an issue with their email system or account.
The Slingshot Undeliverable Email notice contains technical information that
might help to diagnose the issue with your recipient's address. If the error message refers to No Such User or
User Unknown -- then the address was either mistyped or does not exist. Sometimes these errors can be caused if
your recipient's mailbox is full, if the system has mistakenly marked the
Slingshot notification email as spam, or if the recipient's email server is
non-functional for more than 2 hours. If this happens, please contact your recipient so that they can check their
systems.
